Hi guys, I'll be away for a couple of days. Nothing major, just headed out of town so no access to the Internet. Back on Sunday! :)

Benefit Sale @ PJ Hilton…

This is for all you Benefit lovers in KL/PJ today and tomorrow…

Yup, Benefit started their sale for some of their bestsellers today until 6.30pm, and tomorrow (Sat) from 9.30am to 5.00pm. As for me, I popped by to have a look at the sale this morning before I went in to work (oops…). The selections are limited though and of the standard range, so those hoping to get products like Posie Tint and Powderflage won’t find them.

What they do have is an extensive range of Benefit’s Silky Finish Lipsticks, Creaseless Shadowliners and skin fixers like Some Kinda Gorgeous (only deep), Get Even and Powder Play. The prices are decent too – since Benefit is expensive in Malaysia, my benchmark was the prices on the US site and even then the discounts are substantial. The lipsticks are going for RM35 each (NP: USD18), Showoffs at RM20 (NP: USD16) and compacts from RM30-RM60 (NP: USD26-USD28)

Which brings me to my haul…hehe…you all knew this was coming right? :D I didn’t go completely beserk, but still picked up a few items…

Get Even pressed powder in Medium – this was RM30 since it came without a box or sponge (RM40 if you want the full set) NP: USD30

Betty Brushes Up On Beauty Bag – this comes with four mini brushes for RM50 (usual in-market price is RM230!), or just RM20 for the case without the brushes (on the US website, just the case is USD20)

And last but definitely the big highlight of my trip there…

Benefit’s Powder Pop!! *you can just imagine me squealing at the top of my voice* I’ve been lemming for this compact ever since seeing it on Sephora. It’s a limited edition compact containing Dandelion, Hoola and Dallas as well as a mini brush – to be honest, I was so bent on getting my paws on it previously that I even asked Paris to try and bring one back for me when she went to Hong Kong (price be damned, but they didn’t have it either). I happened to see a few sitting at one corner of the display table, and quickly snapped one up!

The price for the Powder Pop? Some of the prices I saw online ranged between USD30 and £19.50…I picked mine up for RM90…it’s not THAT much cheaper, but after searching high and low and FINALLY finding it, I *heart*!!

MAC Holiday 2008 Collection…

LOL...tis the season for holiday sets, isn't it? This time, it's MAC on display - I reckon they come up with these collections on purpose to make us blow our budgets! (and to get their hands on our year-end bonuses - if we get them, that is!)

5. I was introduced to the wonders of a makeover for my first formal – and realising the benefits of makeup! :D (I have a sneaky feeling that’s where the obsession for makeup was first born!)

2. Clean my room! I’m fast running out of space!! :O

4. Bathe my grubby pooch – for whatever insane reason, she decided to go and clean the underside of my car…with her head! (read: she’s completely FILTHY!!)

1. Buy a nice property with a huge WALK-IN CLOSET!!

Stila @ Metrojaya Warehouse sale…

Whoa…I checked out the Metrojaya Warehouse sale on Saturday, and you would NOT imagine it – Stila was on sale at unimaginably cheap prices! (until now, I’m still in shock!) I was lucky enough to catch them on the last day of their makeup sale, and inflicted some serious damage on my credit card. *smacks self*

One of the items I have been lemming for the longest time has been one of Stila’s Front Cover Lookbook Palettes. These babies usually retail at RM140 per set which is why I’ve never bought one. However, at the sale I saw the exact one I wanted – and at a remarkable bargain price!

Stila Front Cover Lookbook Palette in Look No.4 – it comes with an eyeshadow/cheek colour palette as well as a lip gloss…

I particularly loved the look of the palette…the artwork is just so pretty, no? As with Stila’s paper palettes, it’s held shut by two magnets at either end of the palettes.

The palette includes three eye shadows in Nude (shimmery pink taupe), Icon (shimmery golden pink), Twig (shimmery copper brown with a hint of violet) and a cheek colour in Heat (rich warm rose).

I usually prefer the more common sponge tip wands or clicker brush tips, but this one is functional enough.

On my skin, the colour looks rather orangey. I wasn’t too sure about the colour swatch on my hand, so I decided to test it on my lips instead – and was pleasantly surprised with the look (and I’m not wearing any other stitch of makeup here, so please, please don’t comment on the splotchy skin!)

The colour comes off as a very sheer gloss with just a smidgen of colour. This would actually go quite nicely over a lipstick or nude lip pencil, don't you think?

I dunno about you, but this little baby was enough to keep me smiling for the rest of the weekend. *grins inanely* How was your Saturday, ladies? :)
