What is on my dressing table?

Oh God...parisb tagged me on my dressing table - let's hope this doesn't expose how cluttered it is (or my room, for that matter!)

What five beauty products could you not live without?

Gee, I’m actually a product addict and normally try a LOT of products. However, there are a few that have managed to withstand the test of time.

Lancôme Hydra Zen Neurocalm™ Moisturising Fluid
Revlon New Complexion Pressed Powder
The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost
Clinique Quickliner for Eyes
Revlon Superlustrous Lip Gloss

What’s the worst beauty mistake you’ve made?

Attempting to shape my eyebrows myself – ended up with mismatched brows…something that’s probably best left to the experts. My current facialist shapes and trims my eyebrows for me on a regular basis, so that takes all the guesswork out for me.

What does your skincare regime consist of?

Like Paris, the brands of products I use vary from time to time, but these are the ones I use regularly.

AM
Vitamin C facial wash
Elianto Mineral Water toner
Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost
Moisturise

PM
Eye and lip makeup remover
St Ives facial scrub
Tone
Body Shop Vitamin C Intensive Night Treatment
Moisturise

Favourite beauty treat?

I love facials, but my biggest vice is manicures. There’s nothing like having pretty, tidy nails. Nothing too gaudy or tacky though, it’s neutral and easy maintenance colours for me but I’m not adverse to the occasional (tastefully done of course!) nail art.

What’s your favourite beauty store?

I don’t have one in particular. I like wandering around the various beauty shops in Midvalley and 1 Utama though…you never know what you’ll find!

Favourite budget brand?

Hmm…Revlon would have to be my choice. I know, I know, it’s not really budget cosmetics, but they’re one of the best value for money brands – you really get what you pay for, and then some. Most of my makeup comes from Revlon, and I haven’t been disappointed yet!

Favourite premium brands?

I’d have to go with Lancôme. I loved their Vinefit range, but it’s a pity they’ve discontinued it. The makeup’s also real pretty, especially the Juicy Tubes. Now, if only I could afford to use it on a regular basis!

What’s your ’every girl must own one’ item?

Lipbalm. There’s nothing worse than applying lipstick on chapped, scaly lips – especially if it’s those colour-stay ones that are drier than the normal lipsticks. And don’t even get me started on the amount of PAIN a cracked lip can be. I always have at least one tube on me at all times.

And what about skin care: Favourite premium and budget brands?

Lancôme for premium brand and Body Shop for budget…they’ve both got excellent product ranges.

And hair care?

I love Schwarzkopf, although due to budget limitations it’s used rather sparingly!!

And finally, best beauty tip?

I would go with not sleeping with your makeup on and get plenty of SLEEP! You’d be amazed how many pimples and blemishes can develop if you were to sleep without cleaning off your makeup (not to mention the gross factor on your sheets!!)

And for the sleep? Well, a girl can never get too much beauty sleep…hehe…I’m all for skin renewal and body regeneration…*snore*
