St Ives Intensive Healing Advanced Body Moisturizer…

Description:
St. Ives Intensive Healing Advanced Body Moisturizer contains pure Swiss glacial water, Swiss botanicals (such as chamomile, sunflower extract and algae) and a glycerin hydration complex that offers a moisture barrier to thirsty skin. Other leading ingredients include glycerin, mineral oil and glycol stearate.

The Verdict:
For simplicity’s sake, I’m just going to refer to this as St Ives Moisturiser, k? As far as appearance goes, nothing about this product stands out in particular. It’s absorbed remarkably fast even though it has a creamy texture, and doesn’t have much of a scent to speak of.

However, St Ives did label it as “intensive healing, ADVANCED body moisturiser”, and I couldn’t find anything really ‘intensive’ or 'advanced' about it…sure, it moisturised my skin adequately, but intensive is a bit of a reach. It just felt like any other moisturising cream to me. If I had wanted real intensive healing for dry skin, I would’ve gone back to my Gloves in a Bottle. St Ives should really give a bit more thought into naming their products instead of labelling everything “intensive”, "advanced" or “dry skin relief”.

Admittedly, it’s a practical product to have – there is a tendency for it to solidify near the opening of the tube though (somewhat similar to the build up you get around your cream soap pump) so be prepared to clean it off every once in a while. Another good thing is that thanks to its no-nonsense, practical (there’s that word again!) look, even guys will be able to use it without feeling they’re losing their masculinity – very important for people like my dad and brother! It’s also quite reasonably priced, so without sounding too repetitive, it really is just a practical (sorry!) item to have on hand.
