The Lady Makes the Bag...

I've been asked what on earth I carry with me in my bag…well, now that I’ve finally found some time to actually photograph the contents of my handbag, I have an answer…

My handbag…I’ve been loving this ever since I bought it – a Marks & Spencer Limited Collection Slouch…

A charm that hangs on my handbag, given by the boss from one of her trips to Bangkok…you can find plenty of these at Chatuchak market and Mabungkong...

Now, we move on to the basics…

Wallet and passcards (have to get into the office, right?)…

Card wallet from Lancome (I need a separate one for all those points cards, Touch & Go, etc etc) and a name card holder…

A spare battery for my camera, 2GB thumbdrive and hairclip…

My daily planner…I buy one of these from Paperchase in Singapore every year…

A Canon Digital Ixus II camera…

I carry a Nokia N95 and a Nokia 6300 (for my Hotlink and Happy lines)…

Watson's wet wipes…these are lifesavers for those instances where tissue just won’t do…

Now, to the rest of the stuff in my bag…

It's probably a good practive to carry a separate pouch for all my cosmetics – saves time from having to rummage around in your bag. This one was a free gift from Body Shop…

L-R: T’estimo Serumdrape Rouge (a gift from Paris!), Revlon Superlustrous Gloss, Crabtree & Evelyn hand therapy, Origins Peace of Mind (for those headaches and insect bites), Avene spring water spray, Eclipse mints…

…Dettol hand sanitizer (another lifesaver) and a lipstick case (just because it has a small mirror inside)…

** Items NOT photographed (but I carry with me anyway):

  • A iPod Nano
  • Pens
  • Feminine hygiene items
  • Mini penknife
  • Lighter
  • Mini-screwdriver
  • Mini torchlight
  • Gatsby blotters
  • Revlon New Complexion Powder Compact
  • A spare tube of Body Shop lipbalm
  • Stickers (what can I say, I'm still a kid at heart!)
  • House & car keys (duh!!)

So there you have it...that just about covers the contents of my handbag – on a DAILY basis, mind you...and I'm happy to say, my bag still weighs under 1.5 kilos.

When they said “…everything but the kitchen sink…”, they were probably referring to me. Or my mum – but that’s a different matter altogether.

So what do YOU carry in your handbag? :D
